That relatively small tear is enough to break tubes. Should have found it before replacing the tube. (that scuffed section doesn't continue in either direction. it's werid. rock got stuck against brake?)
Attempting to fix the sidewall. It only cost me a buck. Unfortunately I put it at the wrong spot- there's some more damage right there. Graveyard of tubes in the background.
My rim, my bike, my luggage, Jeremy's trailer.. quite the yard sale.
My bike, my luggage, Jeremy's luggage. He took my wheel because we couldn't get the tire on with four Pedros tools.

Hey, it's me!
My tent site. Tucked away in the woods on nice soft ground.
Our humble campground. Jeremy's bike at left, then his trailer, then my bike, then Jeremy's tent. Making tea, so the stove is on, just above Jeremy's trailer. (my tent is straight back, past Jeremy' bike)
Jeremy, climbing back up 'Ballmer Peak' (Bald Peak). The eastbound direction isn't as steep.
Following Jeremy. Banana for scale.
