got the link loose! after grinding it flat I couldn't find the pin. hit it with a hammer and I saw the pin, so I was able to push it out.
countershaft sprocket with the nut and lock washer removed.

old vs new rear sprockets. The original was 47T, the replacement is 46T. I like the pattern on the new one.
