I saw this symbol on the Lacets de Montverneir in a few places. I'm not 100% sure what it is, though it certainly looks like a skateboarder. Is there some sort of downhill skateboarding event on Lacets? That would be crazy.
Picture from the top of the Lacets de Montvernier. The little church is visible; the Lacets proper are to the left of the church.
Looking down on the Lacets de Montvernier. It's hard to get a great view without a helicopter.
Looking down on the Lacets de Montvernier from the little church. Look closely, there are six visible hairpin corners and a few more that aren't quite visible.
Another picture of the Lacets de Montvernier.
Ted on the Lacets de Montvernier.
The right-hand hairpins are much tougher to see, but here are three of them.
This is advertising for a bike touring company.
This is a panorama with some stitching difficulty (ignore that railing), but it's a great view of the tall rock cut (looks like a tunnel) and the left-hand hairpins.
Looking over the railing at some of the left-hand hairpins. Some Adam and Simon Yates wording is visible ("YATES YOU CAN").
The rock cut. It looks like a tunnel from above.
I don't know what YCM stands for. Google failed me.
Ted at the base of Lacets de Montvernier.
Looking across the village at Lacets de Montvernier. The little church is visible at the top, as is the cross.
USA light rail generally has difficulty with pedestrians. This shows the two are coexisting without additional gates or fences.
These little electric cars are derpy-cute. They make a Smartcar look huge.
Lovely church spire on the Basilica de Sacre Cour in Grenoble on a day with stormy clouds.
Town square in Vaison-la-Romaine. It was very inviting and popular in the evening. The chairs look casual but are bolted down.
